Description

The Mi-8P helicopter is designed as a single-rotor helicopter. The five-blade main rotor has three hinges, and the tail rotor has three blades. The landing gear has three supports with a self-locating in-flight front strut. The tail rotor is protected by a tail support.

  • in the passenger version, the cabin measures 250x80x67 inches (6.36×2.05×1.7 meters) and has 28 seats mounted in two on each side with 29 inch (0.74 meter) spacing and a 12 inch (0.3 meter) aisle;
  • in the rear part of the cabin to the right is a checkroom, and in the rear part of the sashes is made an opening for the rear entrance door, consisting of sashes and ramp.

The tail boom is of riveted beam-stringer type construction with a working cladding, equipped with nodes for attaching a controlled stabilizer and tail support.
